Join Marblehead Girl Scouts Troop 82192 for a thoughtful discussion around the impact that media and pop culture within the cosmetics industry are having on beauty consumption. This program is designed to empower young individuals to make informed choices about their personal care products.

Participants will learn about:

• Age-Appropriate Skincare Routines: Understanding what is necessary and safe for developing skin.
• Key Harmful Ingredients: Identifying common ingredients that may pose risks to health.
• Simple Clean Beauty Recipes: Hands-on activity to make an easy matcha face mask and a coconut lip scrub to take home.
• Product Safety & Research: Bring 1-2 of your own personal care products to look up on the Environmental Working Group (EWG) website to identify potentially harmful ingredients, and receive an alternate product recommendation where appropriate.

Recommended for ages 8–14.
