All are invited to the Carten Gallery at Abbot Public Library from March 2 through April 4 for a showing of the freshest quilts from Marblehead’s own Seacoast Quilt Guild! They’ve been busy designing and sewing, and look forward to sharing their creations with you. A reception will be held on Saturday, March 7 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Gallery, where you can meet the quilters and learn about their processes and passions.

The Seacoast Quilt Guild has been around for nearly 15 years and is made up of beginners, experts and everyone in between. Their monthly meetings are jolly and full of tales of quilting adventures, tips on techniques and resources, and often presentations from area experts. They love showing each other their work and enjoy drinking in the always-supportive appreciation of their members. All are welcome to join! Meetings take place at the Jacobi Community Center, 10 Humphrey Street, Marblehead, on the first Wednesday of each month (except July) at 6:30 p.m.
